The Alexandria R/C Flyers, orginally named The Lakes Area R/C Club (L.A.R.C), was formed in 1987 to promote building and flying radio controlled model aircraft. In 1998 we changed our name and added a new logo.
Our field is 40 acres with two 450 foot runways. We have ample parking and pit areas. Spectators are welcome at the field. For safety reasons we ask that you observe from behind the fence.
We meet the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM at the club field. During non -flying months we meet in Alexandria. In addition to monthly meetings, we have designated Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons as club flying times . We invite new members and will provide free flight instruction. We have a very wallet friendly dues structure, including a family rate.
